from: NY Times September 28, 2006 By KEN BELSON Triple Threat (NJ - NYC area)Posted on September 13, 2006 - 9:12pm.
Note: Here in the NYC area where Verizon has negotiated local franchises and a state franchise in NJ, the company has been advertising their triple play package for $95, a whopping $5 dollar savings over the same offering from cable companies. from: The Huffington Post Bad Karma for Verizon CEO Ivan Seidenberg Matt Stoller The entrenched corruption in our political system couldn't happen without a correspondingly corrupt attitude in our corporate boardrooms. The modern business PAC system started in the late 1970s, and I don't think it's a coincidence that corporate power began its (renewed) ascendence in the 1980s.
